Job Description The Contributor Technical Writer is responsible for extracting content from subject matter experts across the Travel Network organization and creating well-written, professional, user-friendly documentation to be utilized by internal and external developers. The technical writer will write the following document types: • API reference guides • Blog posts • Change log notes • FAQs • User guides • Other documentation as requested Primary responsibilities include: • Collaborate with various API development teams across the Travel Network organization to create or update documentation • Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gain a working knowledge of various APIs and applications • Understand, interpret, and translate technical requirements into an easy to understand format • Work closely with the User Experience, API Management, and Product teams to create dynamic user-facing documentation • Define scope and deliverables during project meetings and elaborations • Help maintain and contribute to a company-wide style guide • Contribute to a community of technical writing best practices and help lead discussions in industry-best standards Job Requirements Required Skills: • Professional fluency in written and spoken English • Excellent English grammatical knowledge • Proficiency in MS Office Suite • Demonstrated aptitude in technology applications • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Ability to absorb knowledge easily over a short period of time • Attention to detail and ability to multitask • Ability to work under pressure and with aggressive deadlines • Ability to analyze and organize complex information and present it in an easy-to-understand manner • Ability to conduct detailed interviews with SMEs • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of HTML, XML, SOAP, REST, and JSON • Experience working with software-based content management systems (MadCap Flare, Adobe RoboHelp, Adobe Experience Manager) • Experience working with web-based content management systems (WordPress, Drupal) Education: Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, or Journalism Experience: • Minimum 3 years of technical writing experience • Minimum 1 year(s) experience with web-based documentation or content management systems Why it is worth working with us? • profit from our VIP medical package with free travel insurance and dental care, sport medicine, life insurance and Benefit System (Multisport) • explore new technologies at our Innovation Lab (3D printer, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality equipment, Robot construction kit, Internet of Things devices, Access to quantum computer via IBM Cloud) • lift your qualifications through wide range of trainings and get technical certification reimbursement • no dress code, flexible working time and get additional day off • recommend your friends and get a very attractive referral bonus • use your car or bike to get to the office - free of charge parking lot for employees We will give careful consideration to your application and review your details against the position criteria.
